Brain Fitness
I spent most of vacation time reading neuroscience either in Barnes & Noble or at home. It's always been fascinating for me to learn more about our brain, finally I got a good chunk of time to dive a bit deeper into it. I will make brain fitness one of my priorities in 2009.
I've been doing a lot of right things for my brain without knowing them: trying new things all the time, being physical active, eating the right foods, control of negative emotions, etc. Now I understand how important attention is in shaping our brain: we are really not capable of multitasking, and more importantly, we can not learn something new without laser-focused attention. Our brain is a lot more plastic that previously thought, and adults can still pick up new skills as long as we can focus our mind on them.
