If you believe in string theory
Here is a flash of 'String Theory for Dummies'. Well I am trying to be funny here, it's actually a promo for a serious book on string theory.
Coming from an engineering background, I would say it makes a lot sense to me, even though part of it leaves me an impression of stretching. But it's a theory, or more accurately a hypothesis, and it does not prevent me from admiring the creativity and ingenuity of the guys who came up with string theory in the first place.
Having said that, I have become to realize the downsides of my years' training in science and engineering after branching into the fields of social discipline: psychology, economics, philosophy, or religions(a interesting definition of religion is that it's a mix of cult and intellect) for that matter. Jung warned that we might have relied on science and logic too much and failed to benefit from spirituality. In other words, it might not always possible to view the universe in a rational manner, and there should be a place where human's irrationalities are explored.
